Connective tissue massage
Connective tissue massage is a treatment that increases blood flow, releases waste products and reduces nerve tension in the body. Connective tissue massage results in a major cleansing of toxins and metabolic waste that form cellulite and stagnation in the tissues. The muscles are helped to relax and can relieve muscle pain, joint pain, chronic pain and reduce swelling.
Cupping and deep tissue therapy create an effective connective tissue massage
We use different silicone and glass cups that provide a special vacuum suction and are very effective, as well as a deep wave machine that helps to increase the flow in fascia / connective tissue. The deep wave machine works with vibrations in different frequencies that stimulate the nervous system to relax and help to release tension in connective tissue and muscles. Through harmonic pulsations, the machine creates movement in the body, which increases fluid flow & circulation and results in relaxation and increased mobility. Most people experience the treatment as pleasant and gentle, but at the same time fast and effective.
This massage is also a popular treatment for reducing cellulite, stimulating lymphatic flow and for oedema, pain, aches and swelling. Deep wave therapy is used by professional therapists to relieve back pain, neck pain, tennis elbow and muscle tension, frozen shoulder, whiplash, osteoarthritis and pain etc.
What is connective tissue - fascia?
Fascia is a network of connective tissue, without beginning or end, that envelops everything in the body, from muscles and bones, to organs and cells. The fascia accounts for more than a third of the musculoskeletal system, it is where most of our pain receptors are located and almost all communication in the body is via the fascia. If the fascia becomes damaged, sticks together or becomes inflamed, we experience pain, difficulty moving and our ability to recover is impaired. Fascia is affected by age, genetic make-up, diseases, medication, diet, social stress, sleep, air pollution and psychological stress, among other factors.
